I Am
Henry Wiebe Feb. 2002
Oh, My people, take your eyes off of self and look unto Me. Many I have called, but only a few are chosen. When you look at self it only establishes inadequacy. Moses responded to My call with many objections, like, "who am I?" Can you see his focus? I have called many who respond with, "who am I." The focus is upon themselves, not on Me. When I struck down Saul with my blinding light, his question was, "Who are you?" The answer came saying, "I am Jesus." When you focus on self, it results in looking at darkness with blind eyes. My answer to Moses' question of, "who shall I say sent Me" was, "I AM." Many have gone out in My name and told who they are. They tout what they're about and sort of leave Me out.
If you desire to be chosen to take My name, then you must humble yourselves and learn to know Me, I AM, I was, and I always will be. You can do nothing without Me. Many more like Moses have hidden behind his excuse - can't talk. Who AM I, Can't walk, Can't talk, all I can do is balk. Today is the day you must choose. Either keep your eyes fixed on your own weakness and do nothing, or else get your focus glued on Me! I can do all things!
Nothing is impossible with me. Jonah made excuses when I commissioned him to go to Ninevah. He was very small and inadequate compared to the whale. But the big fish made no objection when I gave him Jonah for a meal. Nor did he balk when I guided him towards Ninevah and ordered him to spit Jonah out on the shore. You may chose which route you wish to travel; the highway of obedience, or of the fish with the gavel.
The reason for failure is self. It's never on My end. The children of Israel sent the chiefs of their tribes but even 10 came back with an evil report. It was not a report about Me, but about themselves. They said we were as grasshoppers in our own eyes as well as theirs. Looking though the eyes of others and self creates defeat. It is true that you are much less than grasshoppers when you look through the eyes of Me, the Almighty. However, when I called, I never looked at your ability, only Mine. If you keep your eyes off of self and fastened on Me, I can call and chose you and depend on the task being fulfilled, but only as you depend on Me and not yourselves.
Jeremiah objected to My call by saying "I cannot speak, for I am a child." I would not call you if you were not My children. Why do you require so much of yourself and so little of Me? I require you to speak only one language where I send you and whenever you go. Your finest colleges and seminaries cannot teach you this language, for it even sounds strange to many of them. This is a pure language. It can only be learned as you learn to know Me and dwell in My presence. It is the only language that comes from the heart and reaches to the heart of others to change theirs. This is the language of love, and it can only be generated by the Holy Spirit of love. You must learn this language if you wish to be chosen by Me to speak to anyone or to any nation. If you wish to master this language, then seek the Master, the Master of every language, I AM. Love builds My kingdom and doth not seek her own. When I touched Jeremiah's mouth, I also touched his heart, therefore I could give him the keys over nations. I also gave him a faithful Scribe. This man, Baruch, faithfully recorded the words I gave to the prophet Jeremiah while he was shut up in the prison. This man of many talents, my faithful Scribe, Baruch, had some aspirations and ambitions even as many of my servants today. I sent my word through Jeremiah. This same word I send to my faithful ones called and chosen today.
"Behold,
that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted will
I pluck up, even this whole land. And seekest thou great things for thyself?
Seek them not, behold I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord: but
thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest."
He that loveth his life shall lose it. Give it to me, and I give it back to
you forever.
