Light vs. Darkness

Darkness was upon the face of the deep.

The Word was spoken, "Let there be light," and there was light. Again, I see darkness as a veil cast over the hearts and minds of the world, and even my people. Again, I shall speak and command My light to shine out of the darkness. I called prophets and Holy men of old whom I raised up for a sign and for a light. But those lights were quenched and extinquished by the Scribes and Pharisees and the religious rulers of their times. I sent the greatest light of all the universe, the Son of righteousness, with healing in His wings. They flew upon Him as vultures to devour and to destroy. They loved darkness and at the crucifixtion I gave them darkness over the earth by the space of three hours. Just as Pharoah and Egypt loved darkness I gave them gross darkness for three days and three nights.

The body of My Son lay in the tomb for three days and three nights. Darkness fell into the lives of even His own disciples whose doubts had swallowed up their faith. There is no darkness where I dwell. There never has been. Neither shall there ever be. For I am the light of the world and much more. I instructed my disciples to let their light shine, for no one lights a candle and puts it under a bushel basket. Yet religious rulers have always woven their hand-made, crude bamboo baskets of religious traditions and dogmas of the carnal mind and turned the commandments I gave upside down over the voices of those whom I sent to be a light. Has man changed? Even as the religious rulers wove a crown of thorns to plant into the brow of my precious Son, so today men have woven thorny crowns and bony baskets, woven with the bones of the prophets I sent whom they killed and smothered to death with their stuffy rags and gags. This they have done to protect their own headship and kingdoms they have built unto themselves. Even as Herod was compelled to behead John the Baptist because of his commitment to the song and dance of a worldly young maid to whom he committed everything up to half of his kingdom. So also is the foolishness of the religious lords over My people who drop their baskets over the lights that I raise out of their darkness.

Listen to Me, ye that have ears. You that have come to the light, Be bold to declare the words which I speak in your ears as you hide yourselves in My secret place. For an anointing shall soon break forth which shall be such as that which knocked Saul off of his beast and blinded his eyes and left him in the darkness, so that his spiritual eyes might be opened.

Many of those, as Saul, who have helped to weave the baskets of darkness, shall even turn their zeal toward the truth as they recognize that it is I whom they persecute. Some will close their eyes even tighter because of the blindness of their evil hearts.

As the darkness over the land becomes subject to the great light that shall arise, many will come out from under the baskets of darkness, and even a few shall turn their baskets into fishing nets in order to help the true fishers of men whom I have raised up to bring in the final harvest and catch.

Now is the time for those whom I have called and chosen to mend their own nets. Examine their own hearts and ask for My righteous judgement in their lives in order to turn their whole hearts unto Me.

For even as the time is at hand, as on the night with My disciples I ate the passover. So now you see the enemy as I have given him authority in order to bring about my purposes. Do not fear the oppressor, for even as was the case with Job, he can only go as far as I allow.

Be assured that life and death are in my hand and for those who abide in Me, death has lost its power, for I am the resurrection and the life and you are children of the resurrection, if you have truly been crucified with Me. Life is light. Let your light shine, for the fire of My zeal shall soon kindle against the baskets which are now dry, weathered and worn, and refuse to be converted into fishing nets. All shall know know that I am the Lord God Almighty and I will build My church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
